  Foreword Coffee is a locally-grown specialty coffee company established in 2017 with the mission to mainstream disability and normalize inclusion. We are a social enterprise comprising people from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities and mental health needs, providing sincere coffee experiences. Besides being a social enterprise, we are also a B-Corp certified company since 2022, joining a global movement of businesses with verifiable social and environmental impact. \n\nForeword Coffee is committed towards building an ecosystem of impact-driven partners for a more inclusive Singapore. Besides operating our cafes which provide training and employment opportunities, we also work with corporates with in-house cafes to bring awareness on inclusivity into their spaces. We also provide mobile coffee cart services for corporate events and weddings, coffee workshops, pantry supplies, and other custom coffee projects. \n\nTo encourage conscious consumption, Foreword Coffee supports the bring your own (BYO) movement by providing incentives to our customers and clients. We are mindful of supplies used in our operations: plastic bottles are upcycled, glass bottles used for coffee are collected and reused for subsequent events, and product packaging are carefully chosen to prevent excessive materials being used.\n\nIn recognition of our disability-inclusive practices, Foreword Coffee was awarded with the Enabling Mark (Platinum) Award in 2021 and 2024, showing our continuous commitment and effort towards maintaining our inclusive company culture.\n\nIn 2023, Foreword Coffee was recognized as Social Enterprise of the Year in the biennial President’s Challenge Social Enterprise Award (PCSEA). This award is a prestigious accolade conferred by the President’s Office which aims to honour and recognise exceptional Social Enterprises and stakeholders for their contributions made to Singapore’s communities.

  Foreword Coffee trains and hires differently-abled persons in our cafes. Our team comprises of persons with autism, mild intellectual disability, deafness, cerebral palsy, and those in-recovery from mental health issues. \n\nForeword Coffee sources and directly imports coffee from Asian producers in China, Laos, Thailand, and Indonesia. We roast our coffee fresh in small batches for our cafes, clients, and mobile coffee kiosks.\n\nForeword Coffee strives to be a sustainable business as we work towards economic empowerment throughout the coffee value chain, reducing inequalities through our work and advocacy, and practise responsible consumption and production at our retail end and throughout the value chain.\n\nWe are a social enterprise member of raiSE (Singapore Centre for Social Enterprises).
