MARIA FUNG

Maria Fung is an integrated graphic designer, writer and D.I.Y craft-maker. She graduated with a BA (Hons) Graphic Design from the University for the Creative Arts in Maidstone, one of UK’s leading creative universities, and has worked in London for a fun-filled 2 years. She has worked at some of UK’s top creative agencies like The Design Conspiracy and Stylorouge, and has a fond interest in diversifying her design magic to other sectors such as music, entertainment, games, film, corporate, publishing, PR, events and charity, just to name a few. In December 2006 and 2007, Maria was one of the 30 students selected to showcase their video works at the ODEON cinema, Maidstone in UK. Apart from having her works exhibited at the D&AD New Blood Show in London, 2007, Maria came in second place in internationally famous digital design tournament, Cut&Paste, London 2009. She has been featured in a variety of press such as Web Design Index 9, CulturePush and Lost at E Minor. She has also worked for BBDO in Singapore, one of the world’s largest advertising agencies and other boutique agencies that deal with established brands. Her experience with working at one of Rocket Internet's companies, Zalora has enriched her with skills in e-commerce retail and online marketing. Apart from graphic design, Maria developed her love for writing and has her articles featured on CreativePool, Shiok and Vida De Latinos where she briefly took the role of a content director. A tight budget for her house renovation led her to a path of D.I.Y and craft-making, and she has since expanded her talent to include clay-modelling, jewellery and furniture makeover. When she is not busy with her work, Maria loves immersing herself in exploring nature, cooking, participating in charities, art jamming and wishes that people out there will know that Singapore is NOT in China.
