Complete End-to-End Solution We offer the first hyperconverged platform that is designed with an end-to-end software-defined infrastructure approach that eliminates the compromises found in first-generation products. We combine software-defined computing in the form of Cisco Unified Computing System (Cisco UCS) servers with Intel Xeon processors, software defined storage with powerful new Cisco HyperFlex HX Data Platform Software, and software-defined networking with Cisco® unified fabric that will integrate smoothly with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI™). Powered by Next-Generation Data Technology The Cisco HyperFlex HX Data Platform controller combines the entire cluster’s solid-state disk (SSD) drives and spinning disks (harddisk drives [HDDs]) into a single distributed, multitier, object-based data store. It delivers high availability through redundancy, efficient use of storage through inline deduplication and compression, and other features you expect from enterprise storage systems such as snapshots, thin provisioning, and smart cloning. Cisco HyperFlex Systems are designed to support virtualized, containerized, and, bare metal environments, with VMware vSphere supported at first customer shipment (FCS).
