Our Profile The SII is a members’ institution for Professionals in Insurance and Financial Services. The SII is incorporated as a public company limited by guarantee and its constitution cannot be altered without the consent of the Minister of Finance. Singapore Insurance Institute is a non-profit organization governed by a Council which comprises elected members as well as co-opted representatives from various sectors of the insurance and financial services industry. The Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) is a not-for-profit professional training and education body established in 1974 to enhance the technical skills and professional advancement opportunities of insurance and financial services practitioners in Singapore. With over 45 years of experience, SCI offers practice-oriented programs and internationally-accredited qualifications, and has played a crucial role in conducting regulatory examinations for those seeking to join the financial advisory, life, and general insurance industries. Additionally, SCI has expanded its offerings to include talent development programs such as the Insurance Executive Scholarship Programme (IESP) and the Insurance Management Associate Programme (iMAP). SCI has received numerous awards for its contributions to the industry, including the Asia Insurance Industry Educational Service Provider of the Year in 1997, 2001, 2007, 2016, and 2018. SCI has international partnerships with leading professional bodies and training institutes, and has played a key role in setting up the Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA) to promote insurance education and industry collaboration.
