Singapore Internet Exchange (SGIX) is one of Asia’s largest open and neutral Internet Exchanges, playing a pivotal role in strengthening Singapore’s position as a leading information and communications hub in the Asia-Pacific. Our mission is to build a more interconnected, resilient, and competitive Internet ecosystem by attracting both international and regional carriers to make Singapore their primary Internet hub, while encouraging global content providers to host their digital assets locally.
Established in 2009 with support from the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), SGIX operates as a not-for-profit, industry-owned provider.
