Founded in 1908 in Strasbourg, France, SOPREMA is a family-owned international company specialized in the production of innovative products for waterproofing, insulation, soundproofing and building vegetated solutions. Thanks to its more than 100 years of specialisation, SOPREMA is able to offer original, high performance and high technology solutions to respond to specific challenges within the construction industry for the building envelope, underground, civil engineering, hydraulics works and swimming pool. Providing solutions to the waterproofing sector, SOPREMA is operating in 90 countries with 60 factories, 13 research centres, 22 training centres and over 8,000 employees. Its global revenue exceeded 2,6 billion euros in 2017. SOPREMA first started to export its products to the Asia Pacific region in 1925, to waterproof the Majestic Hotel’s roof, a historic and luxury hotel located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Since then, SOPREMA carried out several flagship projects such as the green roofs of the Bird’s Nest, Beijing National Stadium, and the roofs of Marina Bay Sands, one of Singapore’s signature buildings. SOPREMA now has several offices in the region; China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam & Australia, and has strong partnerships and established clients in more than 10 Asia Pacific countries. To better meet the growing demand for Asian markets, in 2017, SOPREMA opened its first manufacturing facility in Changzhou city, China. This first investment phase also includes a technical training center and a research centre, dedicated to enhancing the quality of waterproofing solutions’ implementation and integration in architectural design.
