Fhage was derived from the word bacteriophage, a virus that infects and replicates within a bacterium. It was used as a metaphor to reflect on the idea of spreading our visuals/documentation digitally or on print. Founded in early 2014 by Hylman Suwandi and Kevin Lau with the idea of just documenting for the local arts/music scene. Started by documenting for 'Repost Series' at Kult Studios, curated by the RSC, Singapore's longest running collective. Then, documenting all of RSC's events from 2014 onwards along with a couple of exhibitions that were curated under RSC's flagship art brand, Statement with Razi Razak for other several projects.
